Hike! A Help In Crisis Fundraiser

The power of nature is indisputable, and when combined with a cause, it can become an unstoppable force. Such is the case with Hike! - a fundraiser organized by the "Help In Crisis" initiative. Everyone is invited to join the "Come to the Campfire" event, where the weight of every step taken mirrors the challenges faced by those they aim to assist.

Laura Kuester, the executive director of Help In Crisis, is not just an organizer but also a participant. Photographs from past hikes capture her, sharing stories around a campfire, symbolizing the warmth of community amidst adversities. [below]

Last year's hike was not just a mere event. For many, it represented a personal triumph and, simultaneously, a unique opportunity to amass funds for the organization. The hike took the director and others on a transformative backpacking journey through the scenic Ozarks.

Hiking, in many ways, can be therapeutic. The physical exertion combined with nature's beauty can be a remedy for ailments of the mind, such as depression. By channeling this into a charitable cause, Hike! has created a win-win situation: participants rejuvenate their spirits, while simultaneously contributing to a noble cause.
